About Healthy Thinking Kids
Healthy Thinking Kids trains and motivates children to develop healthy thinking habits for life. Children learn how to handle challenging thoughts common to childhood, such as worry, distraction, and temptation. They learn how to replace such harmful thoughts with healthy thoughts.
Healthy Thinking Kids trains children to:
"Developing Healthy Thinking Habits for Life" means both habits for a lifetime and habits for quality of life. Jesus says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." (John 10:10, ESV)
An abundant life does not mean that life will be free of troubles. In fact, Jesus says, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, ESV) Christ can bring abundance in the midst of affliction. He can empower us to walk through the painful troubles of life with hope, peace, perspective, and even joy. As we are transformed by the renewing of our minds, we grow in this quality of abundant life that Jesus offers (Romans 12:2.)
Healthy Thinking Kids trains children to:
- Resist and replace "harmful thoughts"
- Keep "healthy thoughts"
- Entrust "heavy thoughts," which may be too weighty at the present time
